Full disclosure: I like art and admire brands that are willing to change it up every once in a while, which is why I posted this. In other words, the folks at Bohemia didn't give me any free beer to post this. Sadly. Lol.
Last week I finished participating in my third Mixology Monday, an online cocktail party that allows us all to whip up a few drinks and discover some creative and talented writers and home bartenders.
The theme for this month's MxMo was beer cocktails and it was hosted by Frederic at the Cocktail Virgin Slut blog.

Using Frederic's guidelines and suggestions, I've decided to try a Champagne cocktail for this month's MxMo, substituting beer for the sparkling wine. I love Champagne and cocktails featuring sparkling wine so this seemed like a good idea.
I decided that my base would be a classic, pre-Prohibition Champagne cocktail named the Seelbach, the recipe for which had been lost for many years before being rediscovered. It's a very tasty, sturdy drink that can sneak up on you if you have too many.
The Beerbach cocktail.
I used a simple lager for the following drink and somewhat surprisingly, it worked well. I think a heavier beer might have fought off the other flavours, although if anyone wants to give it a go and let me know the results, I'd be interested.
Oh yeah, if you love bitters, this is definitely a drink for you.
